The Behringer 2600 just blew me away [sound demo]
Переглядів 3 тис.21 день тому
I can't help but love it. This track is just the Behringer 2600 and Erica Synths LXR-02. I guess that makes this a Behringer 2600 demo, no talking. @behringer might be the most controversial synth manufacturer. What are your thoughts, fair people of UA-cam? Immoral, or capitalism? Bullying or bullied? Uninteresting or a dream come true? Where's the middle ground? Have I turned to the dark side?...
simple led zeppelin-style fingerpicking improvisation [guitar demo]

This is just a quick example of how to improvise with fingerpicking. Most people don't know that I got into synths after being a guitarist for 10 years. I still love to play. I teach virtual guitar, bass, and keyboard lessons: app.tunelark.com/promo/ryan-ehresman My music: open.spotify.com/artist/6WixgVkWdaxfJ2bXiuc472?si=sKHGtHxgQzKccwdqJS-fiA

This was an experiment in whether I could meaningfully play piano along with my modular. Still trying to figure out how to incorporate all of my cats into my setup, sometimes it feels like I'm playing music and then petting a cat, rather than truly doing both concurrently and (of course) dawlessly. Analog 60 Oscillator Synth Demo - Korg Poly Ensemble P / PE-1000 / Univox K4
Переглядів 2724 місяці тому
This is just me noodling around, hitting some chords on this vintage analog synth from the 70s. It has separate analog 60 oscillators and some pretty funky features. My music: open.spotify.com/artist/6WixgVkWdaxfJ2bXiuc472?si=sKHGtHxgQzKccwdqJS-fiA One of the most interesting things about it is the high pass filter (aka traveler), which at the factory default only goes down to a 1kHz cutoff at ...
Bach Prelude 1 in C Major // Moog Matriarch
Переглядів 1,8 тис.8 місяців тому
One of the most recognizable pieces written by Bach, performed on an analog synthesizer. The first piece in The Well-Tempered Clavier is a popular choice for kids and beginners, and due to its arpeggiated nature, I thought it would be fun to perform on a mono synth. Technically the song should be performed with the lowest two notes held for the duration of the arpeggio, but I opted to use the b...

Quick question before I purchase the P6 I want to know if you can play over the sequencer without adding notes to the sequence?
Well done!
Just found your channel and dropped a subscription. Appreciate you.
what sequencer were you using?
I sequenced this with Ableton Live
so sick dude
I don’t like the copy cat Behringer one. And I’ll never buy anything from Behringer.
I love the original size. Gotta say, one of my students had a k2 and it sounded like a real one to me. I was surprised, I think there are a lot of bad sounding k2 demos on UA-cam
That's awesome, thanks for sharing your process! Sure wish I had a way to sync my MS-20 to my DAW.
Yeah it’s kind of a pain. If your daw has time stretching or quantization that’s what I’d recommend. I use Ableton and the complex warp mode to adjust the tempo to fit, and I think it sounds really good
Roland only wins by a hair on the chorus, just get a boss pedal and be done with it. In every other way Sequential destroy Roland including build quality.
Or maybe it’s the user not the instrument that’s not good
The p6 is amazing, what I wanted from an instrument just changed over time. These days I’m more interested in a cleaner sound and have a rev2 that I adore
Are you controlling this via Midi?
Yeah, just note data though, all the modulation and sound shaping is done by hand.
just about to get one (still no fkn idea what to do with it)
Yes! I always use Lyra as my intro, it's a magical instrument ua-cam.com/video/eo5SRMAiisw/v-deo.html&ab_channel=LondonSoundDimension
I am beyond stunned of what you & this awesome machienes are capable of!!
Awesome! My B 2600 is in the post to me right now.. Same colour as yours. What wood did you make your sides out of? I saw a B 2600 up for grabs on FB and knew nothing about the existence of the original ARPs nor their value today so I did some research and watched some you tubes covering the Behringer 2600 with all its flashing lights toboot. The shear might of sound with three VCOs going through the whole nine yards just sold it within seconds.
I bought them on Etsy. It was a pretty good deal, they’re Poplar. I got my 2600 on fb marketplace too haha, I was unsure about it, but figured I might as well give it a chance. No regrets!
This is tasty, nice job
that a rev2?
heh yes it is! But it's not doing anything in this video. I'm planning on using the rev2 for a bunch of tutorials coming up
NOOOO VERBOTTEN YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO USE BEHRINGER
Hahaha
Great jam.
Epic sound, really nice.
A friggin killer jam man! 🤘🐀
🐀 🐀 🐀
Awesome!
Been wanting one forever
It’s worth it! I traded an opsix for mine
This is v good.
Desert island synth. Glad ur enjoying it, I love mine.
It’s becoming my favorite…it gets filthy and cleans up so nicely
Nicely done!
Fantastic matey
Great video. Seeing as you asked, this is the sound of capitalism behaving as designed. Intellectual property protections intentionally have a limited duration and after that it's all fair game. Morals have nothing to do with business unless they harm sales. [Personally I'm not a fan of laissez-faire capitalism but it's what people say they want 🤷 ...can't have it both ways.]
Hi hat sounds really good
The more competition the better! I'm a big B fan, it's my favorite brand. Used to be a Roland head, but don't like their new synths- their last great/original synth was the JP-8000. Can't wait for the JT-8000!
Roland has lost all hope for the future
@@roseutterback5755 Roland in the 80s- "We design the future". Roland today? "We mine the past". The problem is that Behringer is doing that better, often adding modern features but keeping the authentic vintage sound
Ooohhh shots fired! Yeah I feel like the SH-4 could have been soo cool if they didn’t skimp on the sound engine…
@@lundsweden yes indeed.
No complaints about my Fantom-8!😈
Behringer is the best brother!! Just shared ur video its so awesome!!
I agree, all my Behringer gear has been spot on, Odyssey, Monopoly, Modular. :)
Nice.
Dope
raucous
So soothing!! We want more. Please. 💫
When is it out? Where can we find it?
It's out now! distrokid.com/hyperfollow/593/sleepy-thing
I have seen many videos about lyra 8. This is definitely the best one. Beautiful jam dude. Now I absolutely want and need this instrument.
Very soothing for a first listen of Monday morning. I think this will set a good tone for the day. Measured, steady, pleasant.
that beat go crazy
this is incredible, im legit in awe
Nice teeth. You must take good care of them.😊
Brilliant jam. I really enjoyed that. The more I listen to Lyra 8 the more I accept the sounds and am starting to really love them. I pick mine up in three weeks time. When you had that lfo going it sounded like a space ship landing. Really powerful. Did you use any effects or was that dry Lyra8 single unattached?
Thanks! I added a tiny bit of reverb for ambience, but that’s it. It’s a glorious instrument and an incredible invention, you’re going to love it
Great vid man! My dream set up! I will get a Juno 6 from my new neighbor he’s selling it for real cheap but in great condition. Will get a p6 later on. Currently have a mopho x4 polychained to a tetra
Lotsa similar sounds to what I remember my old white-faced Arp Odyssey sounding like, but seems more capable.
Brilliant patch! Just one thing: the SQ-1 must stand vertical over the MS20… it’s a classic! 😁👍
Prophet 6 is a better investment. Juno 60 will cost you when the voice chips needs to be replaced once worn out.
Always enjoy hearing folks' thought processes for planning systems! Intellijel Plonk could be a consideration as a bass drum replacement - leans into the general physical/acoustic modeling philosophy, but it may be a bit menu divey for your taste. It seems like you really value immediacy in module interfaces, which Plonk definitely isn't. Worth watching a video or too though, to see if it clicks with you.
Yeah I can’t do menus…it’s like I can’t help but stare at the screen if it’s there, and I feel better when I’m not looking at a screen. Plonk does sound really good though
Exquisite find
🙏
Do you know of any Synth Shops that carry the great old models lile this KORG Prologue?
Me: “you don’t need another module *see’s a car radio module Me: *sigh…. click, buy 🤦🏻♀️
Hahah it’s so cool!!!
Super dig this approach. I feel like most eurorack content leans heavy into the modular groovebox angle when I’ve always been trying to create my own instrument a la an acoustic or electric instrument. Love seeing someone else with the same idea! If you feel so inclined, I’d love to see a patch from scratch video with this setup.
